A skinny fat is a man or woman that don’t look too fat neither too skinny. Often they look “soft”.
They don’t carry a lot of muscle mass and they are not particularly ripped, vascular or even lean.
They just look below average.
Nothing to say if you don’t train and in a certain way want to look like this. Your life, your choice.
The problem is that as a skinny fat, you can train for YEARS.. WITHOUT improving your appearance.
In reality in my career I see thousands of people hitting the gym with constancy with very very little improvements.
On the other hand there are hundreds that “easily” become big and muscular.
An answer rises spontaneously…
WHY THE FUCK PEOPLE BECOME SKINNY FAT..
WHY THE FUCK PEOPLE DON’T BECOME SKINNY FAT???
Some reasons normally discussed are:
- They eat shit.
- They eat too much or TOO LITTLE.
- They think that supplements can make them look good.
- They think that supplements can make them look good even without training.
- They think that all they need is an ab wheel and a ground where doing lots of push ups.
- They are not motivated enough.
- Their lifestyle sucks.
- They get drunk every other day.
- They train too much or too little.
- They do way too much cardio.
- They are inconstant.. etc, etc..
For most of you, these are the reasons why, despite training, they look like their first day in the gym..
All these reasons are correct.
All these reasons are not enough.
In fact NORMALLY a skinny fat , during years of working out and accomplish nothing, starts to research by himself or begins to be followed by a personal trainer.
In one way or in an other he starts to eat quite well, trains hard and fairly smart, checks his sleep, becomes constant and.. buys a ton of supplements.
Despite all these changes he continues to progress very little WHILE still looking skinny fat.
Thousands of hours AND money wasted. A lot of anger and frustration..
It’s the time where you can throw in the towel or become REALLY stubborn and:
A) Begin the permabulk, and became simply really fat.
B) Begin the permacut known as “The Auschwitz diet”, and become simply really skinny.
Not the best epilogues I think..
BUT let’s go back for a moment analyzing the situation in real life.
There are people that CAN:
- Train three times a week, somewhat hard, sometimes not smart and even without so much commitment.
- Eat decent the majority of time but in the weekend drink a lot and eat shit.
- Sleep below 8-9 hours per night and in the weekend who knows when and if.
- Don’t use any supplements, or only some protein shakes or creatine…
- They do little cardio and always are always in the 8-15% range bodyfat.
And they CAN (not everyone obviously) look like this:
Maybe they have better genetics than yours ( and we will understand what does it means), maybe they train better, maybe they have more experience than you, maybe maybe maybe..
I personally know dudes that do all the shit, get drunk, train “bad” and a lot more AND despite these things..
THEY ARE ARE BIG, STRONG AND LEAN!
I’m not trying to encourage you to do like this. I’m trying to really make you reflect upon how all this is possible.
It is not one magic diet or a new incredible training program that counts.
..Now I want to exaggerate.
They can even look like this with some “helps”:

Yeah, you begin to understand.
Something is wrong.
There are people who gain more muscle mass than you that does not work out at all. Who wants some science read this.
And now.. YOU ARE READY FOR THE FUCKING SECRET.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE HARD TRUTH?
IF ARE SKINNY FAT WHILE COVERING THE BASICS WHILE BEING IN THE 18-35 AGE RANGE.. SOMETHING REALLY BAD IS HAPPENING.
Remember: not skinny, not fat, SKINNY FAT.
Let’s have a check:
- Your body does not respond at all to weight training.
- Your muscles look and FEEL soft.
- You have really low vascularity (if any).
- Your V-taper is trash.
- Maybe you have a belly and fat hips.
- Maybe you have some “soft little tits”.
- Maybe your biosignatures in general are shit.
- Mayybe you suffer from anxiety and depression.
- Mayybe you have low energy..
- Mayybe your sex life sucks.
Keeping in consideration all the these factors, not only your gym related ones, various possibilities are revealed.
Not everyone respond in the same way.
Not everyone have all the symptoms.
But man.. you probably have..
I’m not a doctor, I don’t give medical advice but man, if repeteadly your total T is under 400ng/dl YOU ARE NOT IN THE RANGE FOR YOUR AGE.
Some doctors says that even if you are in the 200s range and you ARE 30 IS OK.. yeah you are close to the range..
You can obviously live quite normal, but the quality of your life?
And your dreams?
And when things will go bad?
And what about 20 years from now? And 40 years?
These are answers that you MUST ask to yourself.
Having as an assumption that you are doing a healthy lifestyle, you:
-suffer from some disease that shut down your T production in some ways ( GET NOW A FUCKING FULL CHECK)
-have hypogonadism, damaged your testicles or fucked up your HPA axis ( maybe you was juiced?)
-doing something wrong with yourself without knowing ( research and learn)
*Keep in mind that you can have normal total testosterone while having low free testosterone. But in this case normally you can carry at least average muscles mass and since the article is all about MASS, I don’t explore this option. But remember that can be a possibility.
You can accept it and live your life like you are living right now.
Your life, your choice.
OR..YOU CAN CHANGE YOURSELF
YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
You have only two options:
Option A: Start some good TRT program and re-became a man WHILE becoming dependent on it probably for the rest of your life.
Option B: Understand that even without any major diseases you can live a lifestyle where your T levels are going down dramatically…
..but this is an other story for an other article..
Is all in your inner self, is all in your head.
You can change your outer world, but without changing BEFORE your inner world, you will accomplish close to nothing.
For example, staying in the gym topic:
You can sure choose the incline bench press at 27,57° with a wide grip to stimulate better the upper chest but if you don’t know how to contract your chest, you accomplish nothing.
You simply move the weight from point A to point B.
I can CONSCIOUSLY do a set of bench press and work mainly the triceps and I can CONSCIOUSLY do a set of bench press with the same bar path, with the same intensity, with the same load, the same grip.. and PUMP my fucking chest.
Imagine what a man can do UNCONSCIOUSLY.
